Kindred Mind COllective

One in five people experience a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder during pregnancy or in the first year postpartum, and that is only the beginning of a longer story. The hormonal, emotional, and identity shifts that come with the perinatal period do not end there. They ripple through early parenthood, through the return to work, through weaning and perimenopause and midlife, each transition carrying its own weight and its own particular kind of loneliness.

Kindred Mind is a collective of independent licensed therapists, social workers, and trained facilitators who specialize in this full arc, woven directly into the physical space at Kindred.

Meet the providers

Ember & Oak Therapy Co.

  • Hannah Hazel, LCSW | Jen Patterson, LCSW

Ember & Oak Therapy Co. is a warm, earthy, and deeply rooted therapy practice for women, men, and couples moving through life’s tender thresholds, including pregnancy, postpartum, parenthood, sex and intimacy, midlife, aging,  and the shifting landscape of relationships as they take different shapes over time.

Our vision for Ember & Oak is to hold a wide arc of the human experience, supporting individuals and couples from the threshold of pre-parenthood through postpartum, seasons of motherhood, midlife, and into the deeper, often unnamed and often isolating seasons of aging.

There is a natural generational rhythm between us, Hannah and Jen, that we value deeply and hold with intention. It allows us to bring perspective from different life stages while staying rooted in shared presence and care. We find meaning in the ways connection and wisdom emerge across time and how those experiences are gathered, layered, and lived into.

Our work as therapists is depth-oriented, relational, and deeply human. It is rooted in experiential and humanistic psychotherapy, and integrates somatic awareness, parts work, imagery, mindfulness, feminist and systemic perspectives, and intuitive ways of knowing.

Golden Hour Therapy & Wellness

  • Hi I'm Sara, the therapist behind Golden Hour Therapy and Wellness. I have always been passionate about supporting children, families, and parents as they move through seasons of change and growth. Over the past 12 years, I have had the privilege of working with clients in both school and private practice settings, helping people during life’s most sensitive and challenging times.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. Several years ago, I pursued advanced training in perinatal mental health because I wanted to better support individuals during the pregnancy and postpartum journey- a space I care deeply about. Through this work, I have supported clients facing fertility challenges, grief and loss, parenting stress, identity shifts, and prenatal and postpartum mental health concerns.

I strive to make therapy a safe space for all where everyone will be met with warmth and support as they navigate their unique journeys.

Joining Kindred Mind has allowed me to continue this work in a community-centered and supportive environment. If you are interested in working together, please reach out to schedule a free consultation to see if we are a good fit.

Sunnyside counseling

  • Hi, I am Dee. I am so glad you're here!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and have been supporting women, like you, to find inner calm, tame their anxiety, and feel like themselves again for over a decade.

Building meaningful relationships is at the heart of what I love about being a therapist. I create an inviting space filled with warmth, openness, and encouragement so you can feel truly valued, seen, and connected

I bring a sense of playfulness and curiosity that helps to create a connection that feels natural and engaging.

Whether we’re exploring big feelings or working through challenges, I strive to make the process feel approachable and even enjoyable. My easy-going nature and ability to laugh at myself help to break down barriers, making it easier to open up and share. I understand the importance of balancing support with realness, creating a space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered.

  • Virtual and in-person therapy specializing in anxiety, perfectionism, and life's biggest changes across every stage of girlhood and womanhood.

  • Sunnyside Counseling is a self-pay practice. Dee provides superbills upon request, which clients can submit to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
